Renewable sources are an increasingly popular topic that most businesses seek to become involved with. I think that a page devoted to informing people about wind power could turn out to be very promising. I have yet to design the layout, but I believe I should be able to complete this project. I will, of course, being posting often.

The other night I watched a Charlie Brown Valentine’s special on television. I also saw on the news that an estimated $114 million dollars will be spent, which includes buying cards, candy and other stuff. I know that I will not be spending much money for this Valentine’s day. I will, however, buy candy hearts. They are my favorite!

Since the season of Lent has started, I decided to give up soda and chocolate. I realize this will be hard because lots of chocolate is eaten during valentine’s day. I have not been posting lately, but that will not happen anymore. It has been snowing outside for the past couple of days. Today is quite sunny, but I am hoping that the snow will not melt. Last night I watched “3:10 to Yuma”, a cowboy movie that takes place in Arizona. I really liked it and I still can’t figure out why it was rated R.

Today is the first day of February! I have been awfully busy for the past couple of days. When I got up this morning the first word I said was ‘Rabbit’. It is said that if the first word you say at the beginning of a new month is ‘Rabbit’, you will have great luck for the rest of the month. I don’t believe in superstitions, so we will see how luck my luck lasts.

Three days ago I received a package in the mail, it was a late gift from my cousins. Inside was a six-pack collection of all the old Tomb Raider PC games! For the past month I had been playing and replaying all the levels of the first game, so receiving the next five editions all in one day was really exciting! I tried installing them, but the first, second, and third games didn’t seem to work properly. I think it may have been because they were old and I was trying them on a newer computer. Fortunately, the fourth game worked, so I am currently playing it during some of my free time.

I have often wondered what it would be like to learn a new language, like our exchange student had to do. If I were to pick a country to go to school at, it would probably be France. I think that the French language, as well as their culture, is very intriguing. It would the experience of a lifetime to learn French.

I have been longing for some of my favorite television shows to air again. Since the TV writers strike I have gotten to watch only reality shows. I miss The Office and Chuck and many other great NBC programs. I realize there is nothing that I can do about the strike, but I wish there was. Now a whole new batch of shows are beginning, but most of them are just bad. Last night I watched the first ten minutes of the Moment of Truth, but turned it off because it was so crude. I hope that the writers strike will end soon, I miss shows that I feel comfortable watching.

Over the summer many people go to summer camps, and there are all kinds of activities that camps specialize in. They can range from athletics to video games to outdoor skills. It can sometimes be troublesome to locate a camp that fits your interests.

I know a couple of people whose kids are interested in camping and the outdoors. They had no problem finding a local scouting group to join. I also know a family whose teens are into surfing. It was much more difficult for them to find a surf camp to send their kids to than it was to find a scouting organization, mainly because surfing can only be done along the coast.

The same people told me that the only reason they were able to send their teens to a summer camp was because they found Surf Camp. Surf Camp is an organization with countless day and week-long programs. They qualified instructors to teach surfing lessons for all levels and ages. There is also an overnight camp program available, which is what their teens did. If I ever think of taking up surfing for fun, I know exactly where I will begin. It never hurts to try something new.

A couple weeks ago my family and I went to the local mall to run some errands and shop a little while for new books. As we were making our way through the parking lot I heard some bells ringing. I figured that it was probably some group ringing bells for the salvation army, which it was. The only thing that surprised me was that instead of the conventional red apron, the people were wearing army uniforms. I ventured over to where they were standing, on the sidewalk in front of the mall, and deposited a couple dollars in their pot. I received a couple friendly smiles, so I mention how nice their military clothing was. They replied that it was really comfortable and they could be purchased online. If I ever find myself in need of military clothing, I’ll know where to find it. The shopping turned out to be a success as well and I got a cool new book!
