A couple weeks ago my family and I went to the local mall to run some errands and shop a little while for new books. As we were making our way through the parking lot I heard some bells ringing. I figured that it was probably some group ringing bells for the salvation army, which it was. The only thing that surprised me was that instead of the conventional red apron, the people were wearing army uniforms. I ventured over to where they were standing, on the sidewalk in front of the mall, and deposited a couple dollars in their pot. I received a couple friendly smiles, so I mention how nice their military clothing was. They replied that it was really comfortable and they could be purchased online. If I ever find myself in need of military clothing, I’ll know where to find it. The shopping turned out to be a success as well and I got a cool new book!

For the past couple days I have been letting the candles that our family made burn. When I get up which is usually around seven, I light them, and the only time that I blow them out is when I go to sleep. I would say that they have been burning for 40 hours total and only a third of the wax has been burned away. Since some of candles I melt were scented these new candles emit a faint fragrance. I just thought everyone would like to know.

Over the past few weeks I got the chance to talk with some friends and family that I have not heard from for a while. It was great catching up with them on how things were going, but I noticed that a good number of them were talking about the same thing, work. A few complained about promotions and raises, your typical work dilemmas, and some mentioned about their offices being relocated.
I asked my good friend what was the matter with the office-relocating situation and he responded saying all sorts of great things about this office relocation group called Fast-teks. He said they made everything quick and easy with the hardware shipping and installation. If I ever find myself with the same problem, I’ll know where to get help.

Games — blogdude @ 4:00 pm
Over the last weekend I was rummaging through my selection of computer games. Most of them were really old so I didn’t bother with them, but one game caught my eye. I took a closer look and on the CD was written “Chex Quest”. I remembered playing this game about 7 years ago and figured that I would give it a shot. I popped it into the computer and started playing.
The entire game turned out to be a complete spin-off of the successful DOOM game. I looked on the Internet about Chex Quest and learned that it originally was included with specially marked Chex cereal boxes as part of a marketing gimmick. It turned out to be quite fun and I am sure that it is on the Internet somewhere to be downloaded.

Last summer our church’s youth group took a trip to Wyoming for a backpacking trek. Since we live in the suburbs near Minneapolis, you can imagine what a long car ride we endured. Thankfully, we arrived in Wyoming safely and had a great week up in the mountains. Nobody got any injuries at all.
However, on the ride back home after our adventure, the van’s windshield was struck by a stone, leaving a small crack. We paid no heed to it and just kept driving to the church. Once we arrived back to the church, and all of the youth were brought home, we addressed the situation. Since it was such a small crack, we didn’t bother getting a repair, but if we ever do get it repaired I know a St. Paul auto glass shop called Rapid Glass. I have heard that Rapid Glass has very affordable prices and a great location, they also finish repairs in a couple of days!
